The Reverend Evelyn Richter is a freelance community minister (Ontario licensed), who is particularly sensitive and skilled to assist couples of same or different genders and of mixed cultures and religions, to plan and officiate for their marriage ceremony.

Marriage is one of the most remarkable and most courageous of human acts, the promise of two human beings to share life together on all levels - physical, economic, spiritual - a promise made in the face of certainty of death, the certainty of change, and the uncertainty of everything else. There is nothing else quite like this act, nothing so foolish, nothing so profound. (from a wedding done)

You are invited to create your own wedding or union ceremony:-

  • Who - The two of you guided by Rev. Ev.
  • Where - The right location for you.
  • When - After two visits with Rev. Ev you will have created the ceremony right for both of you.
  • How - Contact us.

Marital Education - for couples, of same or different genders.

Why Marital Education?
Supporting marriage for all couples, same or different genders, means supporting not only the marriage ceremony but your lives after it and in preparation for it as well. The point of marriage education for any couple is to help focus on what you are doing and to create clarity about how you do it. The processes - your communication styles, your histories, your goals and how you pursue them - are far more important than any decisions. The 4 sessions offered, cover a wide variety of topics. They help provide clarity for you as a couple about what you believe, desire, and most importantly, the ways you relate to each other.

IDEALLY, sessions begin six months prior to your wedding ceremony. the four sessions would occur every six weeks or so. however, this is flexible depending on your individual circumstances.

There are four sessions, not including the wedding itself.

Session 1 - Getting Acquainted
Session 2 - Communication
Session 3 - Commitment, Change, and Service Planning
Session 4 - Goin' to the Chapel

Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone, Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music. -K.Gibran-
